Additionally, there is a lack of educational opportunities, further limiting residents&#8217; ability to integrate into their new community.<br><br><strong><u>Housing<\/u><\/strong>: Residents are demanding supported access to the housing market to transition out of the camp. The current lack of suitable options and the absence of support in finding housing have resulted in a blockage of the camp.<br><br><strong><u>Racism<\/u><\/strong>: Residents report experiencing racism from camp staff, security members, and people in Doberlug-Kirchhain. Immediate action is needed to address these instances and foster an environment free from discrimination. Instances of racism among residents, particularly anti-Black racism, further highlight the need for a designated support system.<br><br><strong>Call to Action<\/strong><br><br>Residents handed over an open letter to the camp management on 5th February 2024 via email. This event aims to draw attention to the pressing issues faced by the community and urge the management to take immediate and meaningful action.<br><br>In a joint statement, the residents acknowledge certain efforts made by the management but emphasize that significant improvements are necessary. They call upon the management, local authorities, and the public to join hands in addressing these critical humanitarian concerns.<br><br>The residents of the Doberlug-Kirchhain refugee community housing appeal for support and understanding as they strive for a safer, more humane living environment. De plus, le manque d&#8217;opportunit\u00e9s \u00e9ducatives limite la capacit\u00e9 des r\u00e9sidents \u00e0 s&#8217;int\u00e9grer dans leur nouvelle communaut\u00e9.<br><br><strong><u>Logement <\/u><\/strong>: Les r\u00e9sidents demandent \u00e0 b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier d&#8217;un acc\u00e8s facilit\u00e9 au march\u00e9 du logement pour sortir du camp. Le manque actuel d&#8217;options appropri\u00e9es et l&#8217;absence d&#8217;aide \u00e0 la recherche d&#8217;un logement ont entra\u00een\u00e9 un blocage du camp.<br><br><strong><u>Racisme <\/u><\/strong>: Les r\u00e9sidents rapportent avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 victimes de racisme de la part du personnel du camp, des membres de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et des habitants de Doberlug-Kirchhain. Des mesures imm\u00e9diates sont n\u00e9cessaires pour rem\u00e9dier \u00e0 ces situations et favoriser un environnement<br>exempt de discrimination.
