{"id":3500,"date":"2017-03-16T13:17:53","date_gmt":"2017-03-16T12:17:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.women-in-exile.net\/?p=3500"},"modified":"2026-03-31T19:54:36","modified_gmt":"2026-03-31T17:54:36","slug":"bericht-von-unserer-demonstration-in-eisenhuettenstadt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.women-in-exile.net\/en\/allgemein\/bericht-von-unserer-demonstration-in-eisenhuettenstadt\/","title":{"rendered":"REPORT ON OUR DEMONSTRATION IN EISENH\u00dcTTENSTADT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span lang=\"en-US\">Our journey started in Alexanderplatz where all women* met and had <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">a <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">wonderful photo shoot with SOLIDRINKS team who came to give us a hand of support and who learned a lot about <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">us,<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> the <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">W<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">omen in <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">E<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">xile through an interview which was done by few women* from the team and <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">in which we<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> shared <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">our<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> experience and motives concerning the movement. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.women-in-exile.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/03080973.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3498 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.women-in-exile.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/03080973-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a>We latter arrived<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> at<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> our targeted destiny Eisenh<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00fc<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">tte<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">n<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">stadt where every woman seemed happy and energetic ready to show support to the women* who were inside the camp and who knew little about their rights. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">Being the WORLD WOMEN* INTERNATIONAL DAY, <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">we<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> had some rose flowers with <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">us<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> to give to <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">our<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> fellow women* in the camp as a sign of love and solida<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">r<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">ity only to be blocked by police who stood at the entry of the camp and refused us to get inside the camp.\u00a0<!--more--> We tried to negotiate with them to just let at least <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">a <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">few women* in but our trial was all in vain. Since we could not <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">en<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">force <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">our entry agains<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">t<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> the police, <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">w<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">e decided to use our slogan<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">s<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> and songs of S<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">OLIDARITY<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> which made some of the women* from the camp come nearer though with a lot of fear. <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">D<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">ue to the large group of police who crowded in the entry of the camp some still managed to swallow their fear and joined us as we expressed our feelings and thoughts on how the women* in the camp and other lagers should be treated equal and they should have the right to get out of the camp where nobody cares about their living conditions or their health issues.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.women-in-exile.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Eisen3-8.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3499 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.women-in-exile.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Eisen3-8-300x265.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"265\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The women* also<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> expressed their fear and this was what they <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">said<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">:\u201d We saw a lot of police and we know whenever the police are many here in the camp there is a danger of deportation and so we don\u2019t want to join you because it can result to be our cause of deportation\u201d. It was such a pity to us all to see how women* who came to seek protection are turned to fear of deportation and their lives and that of their children get worse due to lack of access of good medical care, <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">the <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">poor living conditions where even a woman is given specific time to shower and if late to shower the bathroom is locked and no bat<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">h<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">ing at all. We marched together passing our demands through music and slogans, women* raising their voices through the roads and causing even traffic jam which made everybody stop and <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">some<\/span> <span lang=\"en-US\">had to<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> listen to us <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">while<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> others though in their cars showed us signs of solida<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">r<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">ity. To cut it short the marching ended in a bus stop where all women* felt they had achieved the best and hoped that t<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">h<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">ough enforced new <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">laws, the situation<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> will not <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">only<\/span> <span lang=\"en-US\">become more oppressive towards<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> refugee but <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">that we will continue to fight <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">and become louder<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> for our<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> rights as women* <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">as well as as<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> refugees.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>You can find an other report on <a href=\"http:\/\/oplatz.net\/international-womens-day-with-women-in-exile-at-eisenhuttestadt\/\">oplatz.net<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Unsere Reise begann am Alexanderplatz, wo sich alle Frauen* trafen und ein wundervolles Fotoshooting mit dem SOLIDRINKS-Team hatten, die gekommen waren, um uns zu unterst\u00fctzen und in einem Interview, das einige Frauen des Teams machten, viel \u00fcber uns, die Women in Exile, lernten.
