March 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.women-in-exile.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_9860-1024x683-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4867\" width=\"433\" height=\"288\" \/><figcaption>Health Workshop Potsdam<br><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Flyer: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.women-in-exile.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/breastFlyerAR.pdf\">AR<\/a> | <a href=\"https:\/\/www.women-in-exile.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/breastFlyerEN.pdf\">EN<\/a> | <a href=\"https:\/\/www.women-in-exile.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/breastFlyerDE.pdf\">DE<\/a> | <a href=\"https:\/\/www.women-in-exile.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/breastFlyerFR.pdf\">FR<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n<p>Due to lack of information and many questions from the refugee women we are working about the topic reproductive health.<\/p>\n<p>We decided to empower ourselves by learning more about our own bodies.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore we invited experts of the \u201efeminist women health center\u201c (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ffgz.de\/\">Feministischen Frauen Gesundheitszentrum <\/a>) in Berlin to facilitate a workshop on the upper body.<\/p>\n<p>In the workshop we learned about the self-examination of the breast.<\/p>\n<p>First we got informations about the structure and anatomy of the breast and the changes it goes through in a lifetime. Then we learned practically how we can examine the breast ourselves and so learn more about our bodies and to sense hints for possible sicknesses.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Afterwards we reflected about how we can make this knowledge accessible for more refugee women. We have a flyer that the women who took part in this seminar will share their knowledge during our regularly visits in the lagers.<\/p>\n<p>All women were very positive about the workshop as they learned new things.<\/p>\n<p>We couldn&#8217;t talk about all important topics and questions so we will plan further seminars on womens&#8217; health.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Flyer: AR | EN | DE | FR | Source-svg Aufgrund von fehlenden Informationen und vielen Fragen von Fl\u00fcchtlingsfrauen, haben wir beschlossen zum Thema reprodutive Gesundheit zu arbeiten.
