{"id":6209,"date":"2020-03-17T19:06:27","date_gmt":"2020-03-17T18:06:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.women-in-exile.net\/?p=6209"},"modified":"2020-03-17T19:06:27","modified_gmt":"2020-03-17T18:06:27","slug":"eroeffnung-des-neuen-raumes-safe-space-von-women-in-exile-and-friends","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.women-in-exile.net\/en\/allgemein\/eroeffnung-des-neuen-raumes-safe-space-von-women-in-exile-and-friends\/","title":{"rendered":"Opening of the Women in Exile &#038; Friends New Safe Space"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On Sunday, March 8th in Hermannstr 22, we inaugurated our Space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.women-in-exile.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_1335n3-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6213\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><br> The ceremony started at 6 p.m. At 7 p.m. the ribbon-cutting ceremony to enter the new space was simply wonderful. We had a welcoming speech and a huge thanks to all those who participated in renovating the space and in the organization of the celebration. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This space represents a major achievement for the activities of\nour organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>\nThe inauguration was highlighted by the presence of female activists, women of\ndifferent religions, friends, neighbors and refugee women from various\nLandkreise of Berlin &amp; Brandenburg.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And this new space has been very welcome into our organization. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.women-in-exile.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_20200308_174546-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6276\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We are going to use this room for our various meetings, internal\nwith our group and external with our anti-racist and feminist networks . We\nwill organize workshops about empowerment, health, education of refugee women,\nand how to include newcomers into the German society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There also will be a weekly legal councelling for refugee women by\nthe refugee law clinic Berlin and we are going to organize K\u00fcfas, political\nevents and other activities for the well-being of refugee women, the neighbor\nhood and all interested people from the civil society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This opening ceremony of our new space matched with the date of\nMarch 8th, the International Women&#8217;s Day, and was a great success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We thank all those who contributed and support us on the way to\nreaching our goals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Am Sonntag, den 8.
