Stop the deaths in the Mediterranean!

Women in Exile express their support for the demands of the ‘Lampedusa in Berlin’ and ‘Lampedusa in Hamburg’ groups of refugees who have been fighting for their right to stay for months. Over the last weeks, their struggle has become a symbol for the struggle against the European refugee policy of exclusion.
On 3 October, more than 300 people died when a boat carrying refugees sank off the shores of the Italian island of Lampedusa. We all know: These deaths are no “tragedy”, they are the result of the European policies of border militarization and deprivation of freedom of movement.
On Saturday, 2 November, a big demonstration is scheduled to take place in Hamburg, a call for which you can find here: PDF: Stoppt das Sterben im Mittelmeer! Flüchtlinge willkommen!
