The exhibition “Journeys of Resistance“ by Women in Exile e.V., in cooperation with the FHXB Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg Museum, highlights the archival practices and political engagement of Women in Exile and its supporters in Berlin, Brandenburg, and beyond. The focus is on the organization’s work and networking in the context of European migration and asylum policies.

Using documents and memories of activist practices, the exhibition shows how Women in Exile has built alliances of solidarity despite systematic exclusion. In doing so, the exhibition highlights the role of feminist solidarity and grassroots movements in the struggles against racism. As part of the permanent exhibition “ Local Conversations – Long Distance Calls – Local Stories,“ it aligns to civil society organisations and initiatives in the district that are committed to political participation and social justice.
